Pay
How much can I make weekly?
Earnings depend on your pay plan, miles, freight and other factors. Instead of guaranteeing a weekly amount, we give you the compensation details for each position.
For reference, drivers average 3,000+ miles and $7,500+ gross per week. Those are averages, not guarantees.
What's the difference between the 70 CPM plan and the 30% plan?
The fixed plan pays at least $0.70 for every mile. The performance plan pays 30% of the gross revenue of your loads. The 30% plan pays more when loads average over about $2.33 gross per mile. The company driver page has a calculator to compare them.
Are empty miles paid?
Yes. Company drivers are paid on all miles, loaded and empty.
When and how do I get paid?
Pay schedule and method are set by the carrier. Ask your recruiter.
Is there detention, layover or breakdown pay?
This depends on the carrier. Ask your recruiter before you accept an offer.
Is there a sign-on bonus?
It depends on the carrier. Ask your recruiter what the carrier you're matched with offers.
Routes and freight
What routes or lanes will I run?
Freight runs in all 48 states. There are no fixed routes: where you go depends on your driving style, where you want to go and what you want to haul.
Where do the loads come from?
From a large network of brokers, including contracted loads. That makes it possible to negotiate better rates in the market area where you want to take loads.
Lease
What percentage do lease drivers get?
85% to 88% of gross revenue, depending on the lease program.
What does non-forced dispatch mean?
You choose your lanes, where you go and what you haul. If you don't want to go somewhere, you don't have to.
What's the weekly lease payment, the term and the deposit?
The weekly lease payment is $500–$1,100, the lease runs 2–4 years, and there is $0 down. The exact numbers depend on the truck and the lease program; your recruiter gives you the written agreement to review before you sign.
Which costs does a lease driver pay?
Ask your recruiter for the full list for each lease program before you sign.
